सेवा ही जीवन का सार सर्वस्व
मन से, वाणी से, कर्म से, बुराई-रहित होना अनिवार्य है । क्योंकि हम चाहते हैं कि कोई हमारे साथ बुराई न करे। ज्ञान-विरोधी कर्म का त्याग अत्यन्त आवश्यक है। यह सत्संग है । इसका फल क्या होगा ? हम धर्मात्मा हो जाएँगे; कर्तव्यपरायणता आ जाएगी । ऐसे ही ज्ञान विरोधी-विश्वास का त्याग सत्य है । ज्ञान-विरोधी विश्वास का त्याग करते ही प्रभु-विश्वास का उदय होगा । ज्ञान-विरोधी सम्बन्ध का त्याग करते ही वास्तविक सम्बन्ध जिसके साथ है उसकी जानकारी होगी ।
अतः हमें क्या नहीं करना चाहिए, इस बात को ठीक-ठीक अनुभव करने से, हम धर्मात्मा हो सकते हैं, ज्ञान-विरोधी सम्बन्ध के त्याग से जीवन-मुक्त हो सकते हैं और ज्ञान-विरोधी विश्वास के त्याग से भक्त हो सकते हैं । तो मानवमात्र धर्मात्मा होने में, जीवन-मुक्त होने में और भगवत्-भक्त होने में सर्वदा स्वाधीन है - यह जीवन का सत्य है । इस दृष्टि से सत्य को स्वीकार करना साधक का स्वधर्म है; परम पुरुषार्थ है ।

Service: The only quintessence of life

Getting rid of evil from mind, speech and action is compulsory. This emerges from the native insight that none should do evil to us. Abnegation of deed opposed to wisdom is highly essential. This is Satsang. What will be its follow-up? We shall become religious and dutiful. Accordingly, forgoing faith in conflict with the light of wisdom is a truth of life. Faith in God will emerge as soon as the faith opposed to wisdom is given up. Similarly we wake up to the awareness of our real relation as soon as we renounce relationship antithetical to insight of wisdom.
Thus, we can be transformed into a religious soul by realizing exactly what is unworthy of doing. We can be enlightened by renouncing attachment opposed to light of wisdom and evolve to a devotee of God by refusing to admit faith in conflict with inner light. It emerges, therefore, that every human being is absolutely free to become religious, enlightened and a devotee of God. This is truth of life. Viewed in this light, acceptance of truth of life is sadhaka’s own religion, the supreme object for his self-exertion.
