सत्संग मानव का स्वधर्म
सत्संग को मैंने स्वधर्म बताया । सत्संग स्वधर्म है, पुरुषार्थ है । सत्संग से ही असाधन का नाश होता है, साधन की अभिव्यक्ति होती है, साधन और जीवन में एकता होती है । मनुष्य को सत्संग करना चाहिए । सत्संग की परिभाषा क्या है ? बल का दुरूपयोग नहीं करूँगा यह सत्संग है, ज्ञान का अनादर नहीं करूँगा यह सत्संग है, विश्वास में विकल्प नहीं करूँगा यह सत्संग है । यह मनुष्य का व्रत होना चाहिए ।
किसी भी व्रत को पूरा करने के लिए तीन चीजों की जरूरत होती है - तप की, प्रायश्चित की और प्रार्थना की । तो तप, प्रायश्चित और प्रार्थना पूर्वक इस व्रत को पूरा करो । बल का दुरूपयोग नहीं करोगे तो कर्तव्यपरायणता आ जाएगी अपने आप। ज्ञान का अनादर नहीं करोगे तो असंगता आ जाएगी और श्रद्धा-विश्वास में विकल्प नहीं करोगे तो आत्मीयता आ जाएगी।
कर्तव्यपरायणता से जीवन जगत् के लिए उपयोगी होगा। असंगता से जीवन अपने लिए उपयोगी होगा तथा आत्मीयता से परम प्रेम की प्राप्ति होगी और जीवन प्रभु के लिए उपयोगी होगा। इसीलिए मैंने जो जोर दिया है वह इस बात पर कि हमें सत्संग करना चाहिए ।

Satsang : Man's own inmost religion
I pointed out to Satsang as man’s own inmost religion. Satsang is man’s own inmost religion, the prime object of his existence and effort. Satsang alone brings about the destruction of delusion antithetical to sadhana, does for its revelation, and unfolds the oneness of life and sadhana. It behoves man to effectuate Satsang. What is the definition of Satsang? Resolute decision not to abuse strength is Satsang. Not to disregard the light of innate wisdom, or dismiss the luminescence of inward awareness, is Satsang. That I will not adulterate faith with alternatives of doubt is Satsang. This ought to be the unflinching, solemn vow of the human being.
Three initiatives are required for fulfillment of any sacred vow – asceticism, atonement and prayer. Fulfill the three vows with austerity, penance and prayer. Devotion to duty will come on its own, once you stop the abuse of strength. Dispassion, detachment will come about when you stop disregard of the light of discrimination. If you eschew dilution of faith with alternatives of doubt, ambiguity, you will gain spiritual identity of kinship with God.
Devotion to duty will make life useful to the world. Dispassion and detachment will make it useful to you. Spiritual identity of kinship with God will enable you to attain supreme love which makes life useful to the Lord himself. It is why, I have emphasized the need to embark on Satsang.
