सेवा ही जीवन का सार सर्वस्व
जिसका नाश नहीं होता उसकी उत्पत्ति भी नहीं होती । नाश किसका नहीं होता ? जिसकी उत्पत्ति नहीं होती । जिसे उत्पत्ति का ज्ञान है उसकी उत्पत्ति नहीं होती । जिसे उत्पत्ति का बोध है वह अनुत्पन्न हुआ है । वह अविनाशी तत्व अनुत्पन्न है । उसी अनुत्पन्न और अविनाशी तत्व से आत्मीय सम्बन्ध स्वीकार करना अथवा उससे एकता अनुभव करना ही सत्संग है । वैसे देखा जाय तो मन, वाणी, कर्म से बुराई-रहित होना भी सत्संग है। अचाह होना भी सत्संग है । अकिंचन होना भी सत्संग है ।
यह सत्य है कि व्यक्तिगत कुछ नहीं है, यह सत्य है कि सभी कामनाएँ पूरी नहीं होतीं, यह सत्य है कि जो सभी का है, जो सदैव है, जो सर्वत्र है, वही सत् है । तो आस्था और धर्म के आधार पर सत् की चर्चा चलती है, जो जाना जाता है वह ज्ञान नहीं कहलाता । जिससे जाना है वही ज्ञान है । इस सब का ज्ञाता कौन है ?
उत्पत्ति-विनाश का क्रम चल रहा है । सृष्टि की स्थिति नहीं है, केवल उत्पत्ति-विनाश का ही क्रम है । इस बात का बोध जिसके द्वारा होता है, वह बोध रूप सत्य है । अब हम इस सत्य को स्वीकार करें ज्ञान के आधार पर अथवा आस्था, श्रद्धा, विश्वास के आधार पर - उसका नाम सत्संग है ।

Service: The only quintessence of life
He who is deathless exists also without origination. Who is deathless? He who is ever unborn. He who has awareness of origination is not subjected to birth. He who has cognizance of the origin, the genesis, has become and remains the unborn. That indestructible core of being is the unborn. Accepting intimate kinship with that unborn and immortal being or realizing oneness with that alone is Satsang. Viewed alternatively, clearing away all evils from the mind, speech and action are also Satsang. To become desireless too is Satsang. To realize that nothing is mine, noting belongs to me, is also Satsang.
It is a truth that there is nothing personal at all, that all desires are not fulfilled and that alone is true which pertains to all is eternally now and everywhere. Therefore discourse on the true goes on the foundation of faith and religion; that which is known as the content of the mind is not enlightenment. It is only by virtue of intuitive light of wisdom that knowledge as content of the mind is acquired. Who is really the witness with awareness of all this?
The process of birth-dissolution goes on. There is no balance of stability in creation, no poise of equilibrium; it is just a process of birth-death. It is the mode of true wisdom by which this fact of the creation is apprehended in awareness. Accept or realize this truth of creation either through inward awareness or innate faith – it is called Satsang.
